Dover Corporation (NYSE:DOV) 2Q20 Earnings Outplay Street View, Reinstates 2020 Outlook

Dover Corporation (NYSE:DOV) outlined its second quarter earnings results on Wednesday 22nd July 2020 before market open.

The manufacturer of diversified equipment and components, reported $ 0.86 income per share for the quarter

On adjusted basis, Dover Corporation reported income for the quarter of $ 1.13 per share, beat the consensus estimate of $ 0.93 income per share by $ 0.20 or 21.51 percent.

The quarterly earnings fell 36.30 percent compared with the same quarter last year.

The firm had revenue of $ 1,499.00 million for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $ 1467.30 million. The revenues outshined analysts estimates by $ 31.70 million or 2.16 percent.

The financial report showed revenues fell 17.23 percent versus second quarter of last year.

Further, the company reinstated 2020 adjusted earnings estimate to a range of $ 5.00 ~ $ 5.25 per share.Wall street analysts expected 2020 income of $ 4.88 per share on revenue of $ 6443.17 million.
